Light the fire of imagination

The Spit Fire project allows young inventors to explore the fascinating world of electronics

With Spit Fire project, creativity comes to light, showing that are no limits to imagination. Young inventors learn about electronics.

Through this experience, they have the opportunity to build a fire-spitting dragon! With the help of LEDs, young inventors will understand what changes when we use different resistors in a circuit

All of this takes place in a stimulating environment where children’s inventive and creative spirit is nurtured, promoting teamwork, spontaneity, and curiosity

Breadboard

Breadboard: It is a mounting base with holes and conductive connections for assembling
experimental electronic circuits. Its connections can be vertical or horizontal.

LED and RESISTOR

  • LED: It converts electrical energy into light energy. LEDs have two terminals with different poles,
positive (long leg) and negative (short leg).
  • RESISTOR: It limits the amount of electric current passing through it, converting part of that
    energy into heat.

Why this project?

The Spit Fire project was created with three main objectives:

  1. Exploring concepts of electronics: In this project, we aim to spark curiosity and encourage the hands-on exploration of the fundamental principles of electronics among young inventors.
  2. Understanding the Relevance of this experience in society: With this experience, the young inventors learn that the invention of LEDs revolutionised the way we use light, enabling the creation of more efficient and longer-lasting light sources compared to traditional bulbs. LEDs are present in countless modern electronic devices — from smartphone screens to public lighting — and contribute to the reduction of global energy consumption .
  3. Encouraging Creativity and an Inventive Spirit: By taking part in this  process, children develop skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and motor coordination.

At the end of the sessions, children will also gain a newfound appreciation for the world of electronics, celebrating their success by building their own Spit Fire!

Together, let’s discover how this experience illuminate creativity!

Challenges for you

Ask your young inventor what excited them the most in class, or try out the project at home. Turn this into a fun family moment!

For the boldest ones, how about recording and sharing it with us on social media? We’d love to share those special moments!
