Where creativity meets ecology

The Fish Them All project allows young inventors to explore the fascinating world of Ecology

With this project, creativity comes to life, and the young inventors will simulate the separation of marine litter from wildlife through a game, encouraging environmental awareness

Through this experience, they have the opportunity to fish objects in the ocean that do not belong in the marine environment, such as plastics, bottles, and straws, while, at the same time, returning fish, seahorses, and turtles to their natural habitat..

All of this takes place in a stimulating environment where children’s inventive and creative spirit is nurtured, promoting teamwork, spontaneity, and curiosity

ConceptsCovered

Ocean Pollution

Ocean Pollution: Plastic not only dirties our beaches but also causes problems for sea animals.
Sometimes, animals get stuck in large pieces of plastic and get hurt. When they eat plastic,
animals can have trouble digesting their real food. Additionally, plastic can release chemicals
that are harmful to them. Humans can also end up eating plastic!

Magnetism

  • Magnetism: Associated with the phenomenon related to the attraction and repulsion between
objects. All magnets have distinct regions called north and south poles. North-south poles
attract each other, and the others repel each other (north-north and south-south).

Why this project?

The Fish Them All project was created with three main objectives:

  1. Exploring the concept of Magnetism: In this project, the young inventors will explore the concept of magnetism, through the phenomenon of attraction and repulsion between magnetic objects, used in this context to create a magnet-based fishing simulation
  2. Understanding the Relevance of this experience in society: Through this experience, the young inventors learn that understanding and mitigating ocean pollution has a significant impact on the overall health of marine ecosystems. Plastic pollution is a critical environmental crisis that threatens marine biodiversity and, by extension, human health through the food chain.
  3. Encouraging Creativity and an Inventive Spirit: By taking part in this  process, children develop skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and motor coordination.

At the end of the sessions, children will also gain a newfound appreciation for the world of ecology, celebrating their success by playing Fish Them All

Together, let’s discover how this experience inspires imagination to shape the best decisions for our oceans!

Challenges for you

Ask your young inventor what excited them the most in class, or try out the project at home. Turn this moment into a playful experience the whole family can enjoy!!

For the boldest ones, how about recording and sharing it with us on social media? We’d love to showcase the top “fishing” moments!
